Domestic High-end CNC System Realizes Large-Scale Application in the Field of Automobile Parts Manufacturing
Since 2017, Jilin Jitong Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jilin Jitong) worked with Jitong Weiye Machinery Co., Ltd., Wuhan Huazhong Numerical Control Co., Ltd., GSK CNC Equipment Co. Ltd, Baoji Loyal Machine Tool Co., Ltd., Fujian Weino CNC Co., Ltd., Yantai Universal Machine Tool Equipment Co.,Ltd., Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Jilin University to develop domestic high-end CNC systems in the manufacturing of key automotive components through the combination of production, learning, research, and use. The application demonstration project has conducted large-scale test verification and application demonstration of domestic high-end CNC systems, which has improved the function, performance and reliability of domestic high-end CNC systems.
Up to now, a total of more than 500 sets of domestic CNC systems have been applied, including 88 5-axis CNC machine tools and 232 4-axis CNC machines, fully demonstrating domestic 5-axis,4-axis machining center equipment and our company’s HNC8 series CNC controller.
The large-scale application of domestic 5-axis and 4-axis machine tools has reduced the number of parts clamping and greatly improved the processing efficiency. Through application verification and improvement, the function, performance and reliability of the domestic high-end CNC controler have reached the level of similar foreign controllers.
With a variety of chassis parts as the main processing objects, 4 demonstration workshops were built, with a total of 11 demonstration units. The raw materials, fixtures, cutters, auxiliary tools and testing equipment corresponding to the products were all in place. Up to now, the quality of the processed products is stable, and the dimensional accuracy CPK value reaches more than 1.7.
The set-up production line applies a series of common technical achievements developed by domestic research institutes, endowing smart functions such as machine tool health guarantee, process parameter optimization and precision improvement. A big data center has been established to provide a cloud data gateway to connect equipment system terminals and equipment to offer data services in real time. The big data center supports the integration of data information including process parameters, equipment status, business processes and multimedia.
The batch use of domestic 5-axis processing equipment has reduced the number of clampings and the number of operators. Taking 4 procedures as an example, manpower have been reduced by 75%.
The domestic equipment is easy to operate and adaptable, the service response is fast, and the maintenance cost is much lower. Through process improvement and parameter optimization, the overall efficiency has increased by more than 15%.
